As early as I can remember, I’ve always been on either two skis or two wheels. My playground was Mont Sainte-Anne, an ideal, world-class spot and a perfect place for a young athlete to develop both cross country skiing and mountain biking skills. I studied at the Mont-Sainte-Anne high school in the ski-study program and then at Collège François-Xavier-Garneau. I’m often away in western Canada, the United States, or Europe for training camps and competitions, but I was able to finish cegep by taking distance courses. It takes motivation to study psychology at home but an endurance athlete like myself is used to very disciplined training, which stands me in good stead at school. I am now a student at the Université Laval Law Faculty.
The following are the results I am most proud of:
- Double World Cup bronze medalist as a first year Senior
- Silver medalist and double bronze medalist at the World Junior Championships
- Winner on the 2009 Canada Cup
- Canadian Junior Champion 2005, 2006 and 2007
- Canadian Senior Champion 2006 (still a junior at age 16)
Short, medium, and long-term goals:
- Top ten on the World Cup
- Be a leading international senior skier by 2014
- 2010 Olympic Games, Vancouver
